Ingo Fritschi has been appointed new CEO of Consenec Ltd. He follows Renato Merz, who is stepping down upon reaching the age of retirement. Christian Müntener will take over as head of finance, replacing Kurt Gwerder, who has also reached the age of retirement.

Ingo Fritschi (59) is the director of “libs, Industrielle Berufslehren Schweiz,” a leading vocational school for technical professions in Switzerland. Fritschi, who holds a degree in electrical engineering as well as an MBA, joined the ABB group in 1995, where he held various roles in internal processes and corporate valuation. He took on his current position in 2006. Ingo Fritschi is married, has two adult children, and lives in Oberrohrdorf.

Christian Müntener (59) is country controller and deputy head of finance at ABB Switzerland. Müntener holds a degree in business administration and an executive master's in corporate finance; he joined ABB in 1993, where he has held positions in administration and finance in various business units in Switzerland and Brazil. Christian Müntener is married and lives in Würenlos.

Ingo Fritschi will assume his new responsibilities on 1 November 2019; Christian Müntener begins on 1 October 2019. Renato Merz and Kurt Gwerder will provide their successors with the necessary support during the transition period, and they remain available for interim projects.

Senior managers at Consenec are all former executives from ABB, General Electric, Bombardier, and Ansaldo Energia in Switzerland. Upon reaching the age of 60, the executives transfer to Consenec where they join a pool of senior managers who draw on their extensive professional and life experience to provide their clients with interim management and consulting services.
